It is when the truth is slapping in the face that you always stop yourself in your tracks. Your all awesomeness start to dip down and you start to be worried, concerned and put yourself in the guilt box. Because you knew. You knew that it was time to slow down, disconnect from the digital world and make yourself as a priority.

Self care is good but Self Love is even better. If you love yourself, you will take care of yourself, if not it’s time stopping, dipping your toes in the distraction sauce and focus on the essential stuff which is only YOU.

Yes, no need to find reasons not to, excuses when your doctor ask you to have an ultra sound to check if you have a disease that you’re not aware.

Was it scary to hear that ? Yes !

Did I go into the drama rollercoaster that my dear ego wanted to ? No.

Did I feel down and needed some time to reflect ? Yes.

Did I change my habits straight away ? Yes

The result of it, today is my last day before to go on holiday for a well deserved break ON MY OWN. Don’t wait until the last minute, listen to your intuition and have the courage to change for good. My friends, Self Care is good but Self Love is even BETTER !

Are You Feeling Stuck In Your Creativity ? If Yes, Take A Nap !

I am always active, always learning, sharing or discovering but when this sinusitis attacked me, I really felt under the water and felt the strong need to rest.

Yes, for some, take a nap is the secret to perform and recharge your batteries for the rest of the day. I used to see one of my colleagues take a nap of 15 minutes in the middle of the afternoon and kick ass the rest of his day easily.

I am a morning person, so it mean that the earlier I woke up, the better because I can do all my morning rituals and feel balanced, positive for the day. However taking a nap changed my perspective and opened new doors to me. After this nap, I felt refreshed, more awake and really in tune with myself. I felt my body ready to go, relaxed and zen : I truly felt reinvigorated and with thousand of ideas, inspirations, it’s like your rest is the fuel for your creativity to blossom amazingly well.

It is, really, my friends amazing and confirmed by scientific studies. Sleep experts have found that daytime naps can boost creativity, increase alterness and attention and they are plenty of other benefits for your overall health. So, when I don’t manage to resolve an issue, I sleep on it which mean that I let my brain come up with a brilliant idea after a good and long night or nap and it’s really working and fast !

This simple solution of having a nap is such a key element to uncover so much creativity in us that we really need to sleep more ! So, if you can have a nap ,also have some digital detox during the day and particularly before to go to bed, you will master how to recharge your creativity for good !

How To Regain Your Balance

Busyness and rush is the must have in our society and in many corporations. Unsurprisingly many people feel burnout, have a breakdown or go on a sick leave for stress. When we are all aware of the danger of performance and productivity, it’s taking time, research and reflection to move from this mentality and connect with our inner self.

What I mean is to dig into us to truly see what is our purpose, what we want to achieve each day. Purpose is recently used by a lot of life coaches or spiritual leaders to help us to find our joy for life. Having a purpose is like seeing the ultimate reason of your actions daily and remain motivated to pursue your dreams to reach this purpose. However, let’s not forget that we are all human beings with strengths and weaknesses, it is essential to find a balance between our goals and our health.

Having a purpose or having goals is beneficial for your self esteem and confidence, feeling that you are moving forward BUT as an individual, you need most importantly to respect yourself.

Respect yourself is to know where it’s time to work towards your goals or take a break to relax. This is why I call Respect. Respect for you as an human being when you feel that you are acting on automatic mode, without any awareness of your thoughts or acts, in a nutshell act on autopilot.

This is where Respect is the word to stop in your tracks. To make you realise of your whirling thoughts and the impact they can have on you. To realise what you are doing to your mind, your body and your spirit. Respect is the ultimate way to fully regain your balance.

Are you struggling to eat well ? Let me change your mindset !

We know that we need to eat vegetables, leafy greens. We know that we need to eat at least 5 fruits and vegetables per day. This is what has been advised to us for ages but are we paying attention to what we are eating ? Are we all eating healthy everyday, ensuring that we nourish our body as it should be ? I am not sure. Why ? Because firstly it’s taking time, organisation and willpower to eat healthy constantly. Unsurprisingly we are allowing ourselves a treat day or a treat meal to keep ourselves disciplined. But this is where is difficult : go back to the wagon of the green diet after having enjoyed a tasty and enormous big burger, for instance.

What stopped me to ruin all my good efforts to eat more green during the week is a Ted Talk. A Ted Talk I saw last week explaining to us how food can power up our brain, how a varied and colourful diet can make a difference to our health and life. It’s only when  we heard the experience of others that we truly grasp the urgency to look after ourselves by eating healthy. I absolutely love eating a vibrant, colourful meal in front of me, it’s like celebrating a rainbow in my plate, anticipating to eat this delicious food in front of me. But as I said previously, it’s difficult to keep at it, at least at first. But since I saw this Ted Talk, I am paying attention to eat mindfully and fill my plate with leafy greens and colourful food.

This small change lead to some results which exceeded my expectations. No sugar craving, no need to eat more than necessary, it’s like knowing why I eating in this manner regulates my intake of food to reach a state of balance and harmony. And it is just a small change, sign that we do not need to do big changes but sometimes just taking the time to learn more and change our habits. So, if you are struggling right now to eat well, take a look at the below Ted Talk and your mindset will definitely change.

Now that I am working in the City, let me tell you something : I have an astronomic choice to eat whatever I want. Seriously. When you are a foodie like me, you cannot wait to give it a try. Despite plenty of choices, I went to Protein Haus because I was intrigued by the variety of drinks, smoothies, juices, snacks and lunchs that they offer everyday. And of course, always packed with enough protein to nourish your body. And yes, it’s definitely packed with protein. I can see my Manager drinking the Bruce Lean or the Berry Protein after her workout. And she like their protein shakes.

I think, especially when you are looking to slim down, tone your body or just eating healthy, protein must be your fuel. So, unsurprisingly when you have Protein Haus on your way to find your next lunch, Protein Haus is the solution. Can be a bit pricey to the end but this is again a question of budget for each person. I tried their no bake energy balls and whey protein oats and frankly, it is tasty and healthy. So, if you want to give it a try, you have nothing to lose.

They offer a personalised service, to choose the ingredients for your smoothies or juices as well as a meal prep service for those committed to eat lean food on the go and for their snacks. Protein Haus is a good and positive concept when your focus is to eat more healthily and you are working out regularly. You need this post workout drink to recharge your batteries and get on with your day. I am taking my protein shake at home that I love but sometimes a juice or a smoothie packed with goodness (to curb cravings for instance) is the key to stay committed to your eating plan. And Protein Haus is , for me, the solution in this case ! Try it, you will not regret it!
